National Account Manager

As a National Account Manager you will be tasked with business development initiatives.  This is a sales originations role that requires prospecting businesses from a variety of industries throughout the country to identify and secure commercial equipment financing opportunities for FSC.  You'll manage existing accounts and develop new programs to build your portfolio of business while:

  • Maintaining existing relationships and establishing new relationships with corporate decision makers
  • Effectively and persuasively communicating the advantages of equipment financing and the benefits of working with FSC
  • Acting with integrity to encourage customer loyalty, repeat business and valuable referrals
  • Fearlessly prospect for new business opportunities via telephone and other specifically targeted methods
  • Engaging in finance contract negotiations which produce profitable results
  • Understanding each component of the FSC value proposition and always being prepared to present it in selling opportunities.
  • Overseeing the transaction process from start to finish / from initial lead to funding which entails the coordination of all involved parties (clients, vendors, account coordinators, third party funding sources, etc.)
  • Arrange and structure equipment lease / finance packages for the acquisition of business related equipment for commercial / corporate clientele.

Equipment Finance Internship

We are currently looking for an entry level financial sales intern. Although sales experience is preferred, it is not required. This opportunity is best suited for an organized, entrepreneurial, and fearless person with excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Learning the knowledge, skills, and abilities to become a successful sales professional
  • Develop and maintain relationships with small business owners / decision makers
  • Utilize our pre-programmed state of the art lead generation tools
  • Build goodwill and positive feedback while persuasively communicating the benefits of working with First Star Capital
  • Grow into an authoritative leadership role amongst peers

Qualifications:

  • Entry level candidate with the desire to learn about selling in the commercial finance industry
  • Current college student preferred
    • Although we feel that business, economics, and communications students will be best suited for this opportunity we are open to others as well.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Self confidence and initiative
  • Organized and goal oriented
  • PC literate in a Microsoft Windows environment
  • Ability to work in a team environment yet independently and unsupervised

Account Coordinator

You will work in conjunction with the sales and operations teams on all aspects of the documentation & funding processes. This is a vital role within FSC that encompasses sales support, administrative duties, documentation preparation / review and oversight of the funding process. You will also have the opportunity to research market trends, industry opportunities, and new technologies all of which can contribute to continued sales growth for FSC. Your efforts will help us ensure that we maintain client service levels and stay ahead of deadlines.

Immediate responsibilities and duties will be:

  • Assimilating into an entrepreneurial environment that is low on politics and focused on team work.
  • Interacting with all departments while having direct influence and facilitating positive results
  • Maintaining an above average pace and energy level
  • Communicating and articulating ideas / requirements both internally and externally
  • Develop and maintain good working relationships with a variety of people
  • Edit and proofread documentation for spelling, grammatical and other errors
  • Utilize specific internet sites / computer programs for verifying information

Admin / Marketing Intern

We are seeking Part Time help right now with the potential for this position to expand into a full time career oriented opportunity at a later date. This position will primarily entail administrative support (answering phones, filing, documentation, data entry) and marketing support (researching new target markets, compiling data, maintaining / expanding social network presences). 

This opportunity is best suited for an organized person that is capable of working independently and unsupervised yet in a team environment. We are a young company with a casual yet professional environment and would like to find someone that finds this kind of atmosphere desirable. 

Immediate responsibilities and duties will be:

  • Data Entry to automate work flow process 
  • Answering phones / transferring calls, filing, scanning & email, basic administrative tasks 
  • Research and compile data for new marketing initiatives 
  • Learning what it takes to become a valuable member of the team 
  • Communicate in written and verbal form with colleagues and prospective clients 
  • Assist with basic documentation tasks associated with lease / loan transactions 

Your skills, knowledge and abilities:

  • Reliable entry level candidate with the desire to learn about commercial financing 
  • Current college student preferred 
    • Although we feel that students majoring in business and communications might be best suited for this opportunity we are open to others as well. 
  • Excellent verbal (friendly & polite phone etiquette) and written communication skills 
  • The ability to problem solve and take pride in your work 
  • Self confidence and initiative 
  • Organized and goal oriented 
  • PC literate in a Microsoft Windows environment – specifically proficient with Outlook, Word and Excel (helpful to understand Adobe Acrobat Pro but could learn on the job) 
  • Familiarity with Professional Social Networking – LinkedIn, Naymz, Facebook Pages 
  • Ability to work in a team environment yet independently and unsupervised 


Compensation / benefits:

  • Part-time available (office hours are Mon – Fri 8am – 5pm) 
    • We want someone 18 – 25 hours per week - flexible hours available
